Happy Groundhog's Day!

I never really knew the history behind this February holiday - though I'm sure I learned about it in elementary school, the message never really stuck. I did a little research and for those who are curious - hello Phil!

Also - how does one get the job of being one of Punxsutawney Phil's handlers? Is it like being a minion handler? hmm...

I really liked the way they did the NHL all-star game this year. Instead of doing east vs. west or USA vs. the world, two captains were named and each team was chosen "gym class style." Although recently I haven't had my luck with gym class style events, I love the concept. And hey, even though Toronto's Phil Kessel was picked last, he walked away with a new car and money to be donated to his charity of choice -- I'd be picked last for that!
